Harkness Heights- Bill & Gail Rickman

4194 Hooker is located in the Harkness Heights neighborhood of NW Denver. Harkness Heights was founded and developed by John McDonough and Carlton Ellis beginning in 1903. Both men came to Denver from Kansas City to work for John Brisbane Walker, a well known businessman. (attached: article in the Denver Post and neighborhood plat.) 

Bill Rickman and Gail Hadley purchased the home in August 1995. Bill, local business owner, advertising executive, real estate investor, and real estate broker. Gail, banking & mortgage. Bill moved to NW Denver in 1972, and prior to living here, owned homes in West Highlands, Witter Cofield Historic District, and Potter Highlands. Gail, a Denver native, moved from the Platte Park neighborhood, but was born in NW Denver, grew up on Speer Boulevard where Viking Park is now located and attended Ashland, Skinner, and North.
